The Challenge
THQ has risen from the ashes. The notorious video game publisher is back with a new name and a bag of brilliant new games! Their aim was simple...‘‘Get as many players on to our games as possible and keep the traffic flowing!“
Our Response
We responded with one of the most ambitiously themed booths we have ever created and with 8 different games to promote, we set about developing a unique player driven environment for each! For The Guild we sourced a 17th century cart and turned wine barrels into game stations, for Aquanox we designed a walk-in submersible vessel, for Battle Chasers we built a Norman Castle complete with medieval gamestations and for Wreckfest we imagined a racetrack complete with live race rigs!
Our design team wanted the booth to feel more like a stage show with a huge theatrical presence to draw gamers into the space. So we positioned a stage at the centre of the booth and created a massive LED video wall backdrop. This made the live game promotions one of the most powerful at the show and the huge high level sign left visitors in no doubt that THQ was back!
The design was completed with a range of ‘mystical’ 18+ gamer rooms, a 50 player fast match area and a hyper-realistic martian landscape bringing 8ft characters from Biomutant to life!
